Dual Colour FRET/Microarray head

The head has been used in a number of applications and shown to be state of the art in terms of resolution and sensitivity. As standard it is configured as a CY3/CY5 format, with a focal spot approximately 8 micron in diameter (FWHM). The device enables simultaneous acquisition of the CY3 and CY5 fluorescence from the same point in space. Smaller focal spots along with other wavelengths are available on request.

Fluorescent Polarisation

Fluorescent Polarisation (FP) is a pervasive technique in the pharmaceutical industry for screening compounds for their potential as new drug candidates. The device will measure polarisation shifts in fluorescent samples down to the few molecules regime. It combines the advantages of the underlying technology platform with state of the art efficiency in capturing polarisation data. As standard genapta can build FP systems for 473, 488, 532 & 635nm excitation wavelengths, which covers most of the common labelled reagent species.

Custom Acquisition Software

Genapta has created a modular suite of software for data acquisition. The system can accommodate analogue or digital output detectors and allow data to be captured at up to 100KHz. The data can then be manipulated and plotted in real time. Routines are built in to allow alignment and initial set-up of the devices. The software runs on W2K and XP with a version for the Linux platform under active development.

Multi-Axis Quadrature decoder and Counter Integrated Circuits

These custom integrated circuits are generally applicable to motion control and counting applications. The devices contain one or two quadrature decoders, counters and shift register, allowing data to be interrogated using a two-wire serial interface suitable for modern microcontroller operation. They are fast (~50MHz) and compact, housing the equivalent of about 25 discrete logic ICs in a single 44 pin surface mount package.
